Every year, the day before the market, the children compete in the big race and this year you will be joining in!

Play with Quacks the donkey and friends, where you're working to move the animals along the track by feeding them. But, this is no normal food, it doesn’t always help your four-legged friends move very far forward! You’ll need to find the correct combination of food to be as fast as possible. Sometimes a ‘dream weed’ finds its way into your bag, and your animals will take a little nap instead. Collect rubies as you go, which can be used to buy more supplies! Race your way to the finish line to win the coveted golden cauldron.

A younger sister to the smash-hit Quacks of Quedlinburg, Quedlinburg Dash is an ideal family game to play with younger children.

If you’re familiar with the original Quacks, you’ll find the token drawing and purchasing instantly familiar. Quedlinburg Dash simplifies the mechanic to conjure up a thrilling race-to-the-finish game for a slightly younger (6+) audience, without compromising the fun.  

The aim of the game is to be the first to ride your animal to town. At its very simplest, players take turns to draw numbered tokens blind from their bag and move that number of spaces along the path. Different coloured tokens allow them to take different actions including collecting rubies, moving further or collecting additional tokens. Rubies can be exchanged for extra tokens in your bag.

Play moves swiftly to keep even those with a shorter attention span engaged and new rule variations can be gradually introduced to increase the complexity without overwhelming players.

The artwork is delightful and the components well made; the game is engaging for all ages, and a great family choice to enjoy with children in the 5-9 age range.
