Earth Soft Toy - Celestial Buddies

This cute and cuddly Earth can be a springboard to a greater understanding and appreciation of the world around us.  It comes with a card tag with some fascinating facts and figures, and is a guaranteed friend for life.

On March 2, 2019, little Earth was placed on board the SpaceX Crew Dragon and launched to the international Space Station as a "super hi-tech zero gravity indicator."  It was supposed to go back home the next week, but the astronauts loved it so much that it was invited to stay on board!  

Earth is home to millions of different forms of life including bacteria, animals, plants and you humans. At present it am the only place in the Universe where any kind of life, simple or complex, is known to exist. About 71% of the surface is covered with water, giving a my characteristic blue appearance from space. This presence and abundance of liquid water makes Earth unique compared to my planetary neighbors. Liquid water is a fundamental element for life, as we know it, to exist.

Celestial Buddies is an original line of plush characters, each personifying a celestial body occupying our heavens. The Celestial Buddies' "Big Bang" moment occurred after the creator of this miniature stuffed universe saw a documentary series on the Solar System and realised that there were no plush toys depicting the planets and started designing! And what a fantastic job they've done of bringing the universe home to space explorers young and old.
