Just Landed: Thinkfun Logic Puzzles and Games

Coding - Robot Turtles (age 4+)

A Coding Board Game for Little Programmers!  Preschoolers can learn programming one turtle move at a time. Robot Turtles takes seconds to learn, minutes to play and provides endless learning opportunities. Numeracy - Maths Dice (8+) and Math Dice Junior (6+)

The fast, fun dice game of mental maths. Incredibly simple to learn, but you'll keep coming back for another challenge. Roll the two 12-sided target dice and multiply them to get a target number. Roll the three scoring dice and combine these numbers using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, to build an equation that is closest, or equal to, the target. Comes with handy travel bag.

Recommended for age 8 years and above for the standard Math Dice, or available in the chunkier, simplified Math Dice Junior for age 6+.

Cat Crimes (8+)

Tangled yarn and a missing bird... which of the six furry fiends was responsible for each Cat Crime? With a little problem solving you’ll be able to use paw prints, toy placement and other clues to figure out exactly where each cat was sitting at the time of the crime.

By combining devious logic puzzling and, well, cats, this game has become a firm favourite in the Steam Rocket.

Spatial reasoning - Rush Hour / Rush Hour Shift (8+) and Rush Hour Junior (5+)

Considered by many the definitive logic puzzler with good reason. Just slide the vehicles blocking your escape route out the way in a series 40 progressively devious challenges in a tactile tactile test for your brain cells - great for kinaesthetic learners.  If you ever run out of preset challenges, how about trying to create your own? 

As one of the best logic games of all time, Rush Hour is a must for every household.  The standard game is recommended for 8 year-olds and above, and Rush Hour Junior is available for age 5+.

 Literacy - WordARound (10+)

Learn together in this fun family game.  Who knew that positioning a word in one continuous ring would make it so tricky to read? The challenge in WordARound is to quickly figure out where the word starts and be the first to shout it out before your friends do. It might sound simple, but you’ll find yourself baffled. 

A great quick fire game to exercise everyone's brain, while helping kids with vocabulary and spelling.

Laser Maze (8+) and Laser Maze Junior (6+)

  A logic maze game that teaches STEM skills, Laser Maze requires you to use mirrors, beam-splitters, a little science and brainpower to direct the laser through a series of mind-challenging mazes and light up the target.
