The Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Edition Flipbook Set - Flipboku

The Apollo 11 - 50th Anniversary Edition is a unique collection of two flipbooks, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the first moon landing, combined in an elegant double sleeve with gold embossing.

Apollo 11: Volume 1: The Iconic Footage
The first volume of the Apollo 11 Flipbook Edition is based on original footage from the NASA archives, shot during the different stages of the mission. It shows the mythical Saturn V launch or the astronauts inside the Command Module, among others. Some sequences are edited in multicam shots to show the action synchronised from different angles.  Through the Flipboku Augmented Reality App, you can see a 3D model of the Saturn V rocket as well as an animated recreation of the stage separation.

Apollo 11: Volume 2: The Animated Journey
Volume 2 has 6 more sequences depicting the moon landing from a more technical and informative point of view, whilst maintaining an artistic approach through the original concept art of NASA artist from 1966 turned into animations. They are some of the most important manoeuvres performed by the astronauts, such as the stage separations and docking procedures and the lunar orbit insertion of the CSM-LM module. In addition, the docking procedure is featured as an animated 3D model in the AR App.

Each book incorporates a “magic trick” which lets you switch between 6 different sequences, according to the position of your thumb. Each side of the flip book contains 3 different sequences. Thanks to Flipboku's exclusive paper cutting technique, you can switch between them by placing your thumb at the upper, middle and lower edge on both sides of the flip book.
